SHIELING HOLIDAYS, ISLE OF MULL We are a shore side campsite with stunning views across the bay, all the way to the Ben Nevis mountain range. Offering unique self-catering Shieling Tents & Holiday Cottages, alongside our hard-standing motorhome/caravan pitches, most of which are fully serviced and all offer electric hook-up. All of our tent pitches are astro-turf for your comfort, some offering electric hook-up. Book a pitch for your motorhome, caravan or tent, or perhaps book a holiday cottage? Or try one of our unique self-catering Shieling tents, offering self-catering camping options for all budgets. They are so convenient; no need to carry your cumbersome camping gear, let us do the hard work, you simply turn up, camp, then leave, no setting up, or taking down of your tent. We are a small, friendly, spotlessly clean site with super facilities, including hard-standing or astro-turf pitches, electric-hook-up, lovely hot showers, a common room with basic kitchen facilities, free Wi-Fi, TV & a solid-fuel stove. There are also self-serve laundrette facilities, a pot-wash area and a games room, as well as a designated campfire area and useful drying tents. We are ideally located on the island, Craignure being nice and central on the east, great for exploring the north, south and west of the island. When arriving on Mull after your long journey, we are a mere 2 minute drive around the bay from the ferry. We are handy for local amenities and transport links, yet well away from the main road, peacefully tucked away on a quiet, secluded peninsula where you can watch the ferries come and go and enjoy a slower pace of life. Just a 2 minute stroll to our local pub offering bar meals, with further restaurant options, café’s, shop, ferry and bus terminals, where you can catch a bus to Duart castle, Tobermory or Iona (Staffa boat trips), all within easy walking distance through the village. You can walk to the Island swimming pool or 9 hole golf course, or Duart Castle. Meander through forestry tracks, go hill climbing or wander directly on to the shore, directly from the campsite. A perfect base to explore all Mull has to offer, where otters live on site, eagles fly overhead and time stands still.
