(12570) Alcalà de Xivert - Cami Via Ferrea

We parked one evening during the February carnival on the side of a busy but unremarkable road. Trains were infrequent but didn't bother us (the carnival music was very close and went on late, but we had been warned!). The local police had told us we could stay parked there, or in the parking lot near the stadium where there's water – a parking lot that was full because of the carnival. There's a playground, frequented by all ages depending on the time of day, and a friendly atmosphere in this small town. Another, more distant spot that we didn't try, at the northern exit of the ring road, opposite the municipal cemetery, is shaded by trees and was also recommended to us as often used by camper vans: on February 19th, there were three parked there.
