A beautiful small town with a lovely free parking lot with water hookups (available only from spring to autumn). Parking is permitted on the left-hand side only where clearly marked for motorhomes. The rest is for local vehicles. An outdoor swimming pool is nearby (currently closed for renovations until 2026), and the historic old town with its many half-timbered houses is easily accessible. Several bakeries, numerous restaurants, and charming shops are close by, including a well-stocked bookstore on Bahnhofstraße (Station Street) with a wide selection of camping books and souvenirs. The idyllic spa park is perfect for a stroll. The town offers a diverse cultural program; it's best to check the events calendar. The treetop walkway is a new and very popular attraction with a restaurant. The website is easy to navigate, but Google Maps may direct you in the wrong direction. Access to the parking lot is only possible via Bahnhofstraße (not Mühlweg). The advantage: no through traffic. Showers are available in the small indoor swimming pool at the spa/community center (please note the opening hours). From the parking lot, there's a small (somewhat hidden) path leading up to the old town and even a glass elevator (accessible via the Volksbank parking lot). The area was recently renovated to prevent puddles from forming. A new, fully functional generator has been in operation since September 24th, and payment options include PayPal and card. Grey and black water can be disposed of in the same sink. This was always intended for this purpose! (Only!) The €1 slot on the water terminal is for flushing it.
