() Ballywater - Unnamed road

I have been debating whether or not to share this place and still am, to be honest. This is a small public car park behind the dunes of Ballinoulart beach. Relatively flat hard gravel with no height restrictions. No services available. Good internet signal. Good place for an overnighter when other places nearby are full. Beware, the access road is very rough and borderline offroad in places. Strictly low speeds from the main road or you will damage tyres. This spot is a well known fishing beach that can get extremely busy on weekends and during summer. There is regular fishing competitions held here too, so don’t be surprised if you don’t find a parking space, especially longer motorhomes which will struggle to park here. Offpeak should be ok but spaces should be kept for locals who also frequent this place all year round. I would limit this place to 2/3 vans max. This is also next to a working farm so don’t be surprised to hear a tractor in the early morning. During the winter months you will likely have the place to yourself. I’ve used this spot for years with zero hassle and I’ve seen plenty of people camping here too, however if I come here in the next few months and see a scrap of litter, I will delete it, so please ensure to not leave any trace. You have been warned.
