(HS2 0RA) Barvas - A857

Decent spot away from the road down a gravel path. I was alone here all night and the next morning in July. There's actually 2 spots - the first is nice and flat hardstanding looking out over the loch. The second is if you follow the grassy track along the side of the loch, you'll reach a dead end, bumpy but at least one good flat solid graveled spot for a 6m van/motorhome- sheltered from the wind due to high banks either side (view not as nice as the first). Main road is up a little higher than the park ups- road very quiet at night. I imagine the midges would be bad if there's no wind but none seen during my stay. Moorland and heather to walk through around loch but boggy in places. looks a good spot to fish for trout.
