02-06-2025 There's a small, relatively flat spot at the bottom of a steep descent from the road. It's recommended to walk the 30 to 100 meters before driving down. Due to the steep, short, and rocky descent, this spot is only suitable for smaller buscampers or 4x4 vehicles; perhaps even two 4x4s could manage one after another. As of now, the steep decent is flat and very grippy, our Ford Nugget 2wd could easily manage uphill. The area offers a lovely view of the canyon, but not the monastery, and city. We politely asked the beekeepers for permission to camp, and they were kind enough to grant it. There's also a small, unoccupied cabin nearby. There is no cell service. There are no stray dogs, litter, or dust (asphalt road nearby). The road noise is minimal. Please refrain from parking near the beehives, as that area is reserved for the beekeepers.
