The Waterloo Inn

We stayed here on the campsite and ate in the pub as a set of friends with campervans. It has about 20 places for vans and a camping area. It is in the perfect location for trekkers to the dales with a lovely quiet campsite behind the beautiful old pub. The service was excellent - ringing up to arrange it was easy, reserving places for 5 campervans and and evening meal for 12 people. We turned up on the day and the service was excellent - finding us places to stay that suited us as a group and ensuring everything was as we wanted. There was hard standing for the vans and lovely grass between - you will need to have ramps as they are mostly on a small slope. The facilities are basic but well maintained with showers and toilets plus washing facilities. The pub is an ‘old’ type run by a lovely family going a family atmosphere with seating inside and out. The food is typical pub food but the quality is excellent and the service great also. The costs were excellent value also, £20/ night on the campsite (incl. electrics) and £15-20 per person for 2 course meal including drinks (beer/wine). We had a wonderful experience here - fully recommend it!!
