Paying parking from 9-13:30 and from 15:00-19:00. A bit steep, but you can find a less steep parking spot. We spent the previous day in the parking lot of the San Mamés stadium, a safe area. This area has a green area, people walking around the river. At night there are fewer cars. Less noise than in front of the stadium. Since it is difficult to park in Bilbao, it is a good option. Close to the center on foot. However, be careful, we took a long detour following the Nervión River, to avoid a 2.7m tunnel. There are public toilets nearby. Safe, (but you always have to be careful) and with lots of local, family and tourist passers-by.
