Björknäs camping

Björknäs Camping is a nature campsite that is beautifully located by Lake Mälaren. It is located on the peninsula of Ådö outside Bro in the municipality of Upplands-Bro. Here you can stay close to nature, close to the water and close to Stockholm. The campsite offers a quiet and scenic camping life. You can wake up to twittering birds and soughing trees. The surroundings are unique with many beautiful, protected old deciduous trees. Manned campsite The campsite is manned at least a few hours every day and has on call service. Check-in and check-out are done digitally. Information on how this is done is available on the information board by the entrance to the campsite. The campsite has WCs, showers, kitchen, washing-up station, and other facilities. There are pitches with and without electricity for caravans motorhomes and tents. Service and public transport The closest shops and other services can be found in the centre of Bro, just under 8 km away, ten minutes by car. There is a bus between the campsite and the centre of Bro that runs several times a day. The bus stop for the campsite is called Björknäsbadet. The beach The beach is in direct connection to the campsite. You can choose to sit in the grass, on a rock or on the sand by the water. The bottom is sandy and the water is shallow, perfect for our youngest guests. There are jetties from which you can jump or step into the water. There is also a diving tower and two basic toilets by the beach. Paddle, play golf and games In connection to the beach there are six kayaks for hire. There is also a mini-golf course here. You can hire kayaks, and golf clubs and balls via the app Frekis. There are also kubb games and boule. The app contains instructions and prices. Frekis is available to download for both iPhones and Androids. To do Walk along the Upplands-Bro-leden trail and experience nature in several beautiful nature reserves. There are various golf courses and nice manors to visit, as well as many places to swim. If you would like to take a trip into the centre of Stockholm, you are ten minutes from the E18 motorway or the commuter train station in Bro, parkering at the Bro train station is free. The train takes half an hour into the city.
