The village of Broughshane is very pretty with an excellent pub, The Thatch, where you can pay and get change outside of office hours, a great hardware store, dog groomers, ladies' hairdressers, butchers, a supermarket, a fruit and vegetable shop, cafes, etc. A very pretty village. Yet, it's only a short drive across the Antrim Hills to the Causeway Coastal Run to the east or the Giant's Causeway to the north.
