Completely unrestricted street parking, very close to the sea. Part tarmac/Part earth but pretty level ground. Space for approximately 6-8 large vehicles, no height restriction. This is a good example of a camping spot on the roadside that is perfect. Due to a bizarre fuedal anomaly half the road is owned by a local estate, they also own the beach, they do not enforce their rights it appears. As long as you park safely there should be no issues. I have seen folk there for extended periods. Parking anywhere near the turning on the road is potentially dangerous, accidents with parked cars, structures are common due to local inexperienced drivers of seat ibiza sports and others late at night. It would be appreciated by local residents if engines were not run on a summers evening to recharge batteries, that all rubbish is taken away, the bins are for day tourists and that little doggy bags are not left. Black water can be got rid of and rubbish left, batteries charged by booking a night at Calshot Activities Centre further down the spit. Calshot Beach is an absolute gem of a place, enjoy it, enjoy the freedom of what is de facto common land beyond the reach of council bye law. Cafe (closed low season). Toilet block. Water tap. This road was very quiet low season, maybe ten cars passed 8pm-8am, but I would imagine its much busier in high season.
