FREE PUBLIC parking at Tróia-Galé Beach. You'll still have to go through the hotel entrance, which is secured with barriers and a guard. A sign at the entrance to the barriers clearly indicates that the parking is FREE AND PUBLIC!! The fashionable hotel is trying to privatize the beach and therefore doesn't want to see adventurers in vans hanging around. We were able to park without any problems with a 3-meter-high van! Apparently open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., but we can't verify this because we were within the opening hours! The hotel staff were more or less pleasant; don't let that scare you off; they're certainly following the hotel's guidelines; they'll greet you on your way back! Enjoy your visit and swim. The beach is worth a visit, and watch out for the wind! PS: We have a Mercedes Sprinter, not a camper van. It's impossible to park under the wooden posts with a height exceeding 3 meters! So, parking for vans at a moderate height is recommended.
