A new free flat P for motorhomes (10 places) illuminated in bottom of PONTE DO SÓTÃO quiet village in the middle of some hills, 900 m from EN 342 road (after initial street, follow 2 “parque de caravanismo” big blue panels). Good service area. Sounds that you will hear will be just the birds, softly the river, and the church bell each 30 min (not at night); besides that is quiet and have a nice view of the hills. It’s beside “Casa do Povo” community house; there’s grill/barbecue and few picnic tables with shadow. Coffee (there’s typical meat dish “chanfana”) with mini-market 300 m away 100 m till river beach with toilets. Behind the house you have some trails that passing through it you could end on the river that is near. Ancient shale villages Comareira (4,9 km) and Aigra Nova (400 m after) are now reasonably accessible via narrow but well asphalted secondary road (only initial 500 m are narrower; buses arrive there), with flat P for 3 motorhomes.
