Huma Nature

We have 5 parking spots on a beautiful permaculture farm with olive trees, sheep and chickens. The whole land is fenced with walls and trees so you'll be safe. We have a simple compost toilet and an outdoor cold water shower on the campsite. Because we recycle our waste water we ask you to only use biodegradable soaps (you can borrow ours). The parking spots are nearly level so with blocks under the wheels you'll get a good result. You're welcome to have a look around, learn about permaculture or perhaps get some fresh eggs in the morning from our free range rescue chickens. Dogs are not allowed! Our chickens run free and there have been problems even with otherwise very friendly dogs. The days can get hot in the summer, but the mountain provides cool air and it's still nice and chilly at night for you to sleep well, even in the middle of summer. We ask a contribution per night that will go straight to planting more tees or other things to give back to the land :) The area: - Bakery, village store - 2 min walk - River for swimming - 5 min walk - Hiking - 10 min - Cascades - 15 min drive - Serra da Estrela Nature Park - 1 hour drive
