Small car park opposite the park. There are no signs forbidding overnight parking and is open 24/7 due to leading to some residential buildings at the far end of the road. We have a coverted Berlingo so it easily passes for a parked car. As this a new site on the app we can only provide information based on our experience. It is popular with dog walkers so we recommend pulling up after dark if you want to be discreet. Located right beside the river Esk so you can hear it from the van. Very tranquil sound. Quiet and about 25 minute drive from Edinburgh City center and 3 minute drive or 15 minute walk from Dalkeith town center for bars, food, shops etc. No facilities. The footbridge suggested by Google maps to cross the river to the town center is closed - you will have to follow the road you took to get into town if you choose to go on foot. It is known as Ironmills Park and is the historic remnants of the ironmill of Dalkeith in the 1600's.
