(17772) Darnius - Unnamed road

Parking of Darnius Dam. ~20 minutes from highway, narrow country roads, then small road. I have slept here for one night on multiple occasions, good stop before/after ES-FR border. Parking is NOT flat except one or two spots, more spots available but slanted. Dam staff are not bothered, no comments to me, they often park maintenance equipment in the parking lot, so just make sure you park in a corner and don't block any access to their buildings. You can go for a quick walk across the dam and up to a viewpoint, or longer hikes around the lake. I saw some lovely sunsets and sunrises. Locals passing by cycling, walking, some motorbikes and motocross too. Peaceful though, both day and night. Good 5G. One camper leaving one morning when I arrived early, otherwise alone overnight. Unlike the spot on the other end of the dam, this one has no restriction signs (no "residents only") and no prohibition signs for camping or overnight parking. The roads in do not (as far as I saw) indicate any entrance to a national park or conservation area with specific prohibitions. Possible for large vehicles, but not recommended for M/L Class A. Check the weather, it can be very windy and stormy.
