(2662) Dovre - Barthstigen

A beautiful spot in the middle of nowhere. All sorts of hiking trails start here (not difficult). There's room for 10+ campers without any hassle. The sheep and cows roam freely here. The scenery is truly stunning. There's a large dumpster across the road. Campfires are allowed. We stayed here for two nights! One of our favorite overnight stays in Norway. You can climb up to the hut for lunch (12-4 p.m.) or sign up ahead of time for the three-course meal. We didn't really recommend the restrooms. You do have to pay a toll for the road via youpark.no. But it's totally worth it!
