When you register via their website, you receive an email with the codes for the gate locks, drive in independently, and find your own spot. A big plus is that each pitch has a bench and a fire pit. Wood for this can be collected at the entrance and paid for via a link in the initial email. The showers and toilets take some getting used to. There are separate toilets and a hot and cold shower, as well as washing-up facilities (with cold water) in each simple wooden hut. For a trip to London, you can walk or cycle to the East Tilbury train station in 20 minutes.
