(16220) Écuras - Empeyrat

Along the dirt road/track (very accessible for vans, campervans, and small motorhomes) that runs alongside the Tardoire River between the Chambon leisure park and the D3, there's a sublime spot in the heart of nature, right on the riverbank and at the foot of a beautiful climbing wall. There's room for one or even two vans, and you can easily turn around. You can get your feet wet; it's calm and beautiful. Due to the proximity of the rock and the river, this spot is not recommended in bad weather. Please note, there's some confusion. There are actually two locations, one on each side of the river. The GPS coordinates represent one side, and the photos (with the van) represent the other. For the location near the GPS coordinates (the hamlet of "Empeyrat"), there are fewer parking spaces and the terrain is less flat, but there is shade and fewer people passing by. For the photo location (the campsite side), it's the opposite. To get the GPS coordinates, go through the hamlet of "Les Defaix" then "Empeyrat".
