La vida pura

Welcome to our off-grid finca, La vida pura. As the name suggests, it's pure living. That's what we experience here in inland Spain, in the province of Valencia, on our olive grove. In October 2024, we fell in love with this beautiful spot in the countryside, located in the La Canals region. A string of villages spread over some 60 kilometers, connected by flowing water and their stunning waterfalls and natural pools. Our finca is nestled in the mountains between the villages of Anna, Chella, and Enguera and is accessible via two access roads, some partially paved and some turning into a paved gravel track. Please be careful here, as water always flows downhill, and the rain has left significant tracks here and there, creating gullies and potholes. So, we advise you to drive slowly and enjoy the beautiful green scenery that awaits you. We moved here in March 2025 and are still busy renovating the approximately 27,000m² property. The orchard is in serious need of maintenance, having been left untouched for 15 years. With much love and patience, we are breathing new life into our dream home. Dogs are welcome; we have one ourselves. However, please keep them on a leash, as the property is not fenced. You can find all your groceries in the three surrounding villages. Bakers, butchers, supermarkets, a weekly market, and a pharmacy are all within 15 minutes. There are also laundrettes in Enguera and Chella. You can also do your laundry in our washing machine for a fee, using our biodegradable detergent from Mother Earth. Medical assistance is available in Enguera and Chella. Free drinking water is available at the fountain in all three villages. You can dispose of your waste anywhere along the way; there are containers placed throughout the village where you can also dispose of your separated waste. Waste cannot be left at our facility. Because we have a septic tank, we are very vigilant about the use of green flushing agents for the porta-potty. If you can prove this, you may empty it into our septic tank. Hikers, cyclists, mountain bikers, nature lovers, photographers (including urban photography), birdwatchers, and those who enjoy silence will find everything they need here. There's so much beauty to experience, see, and enjoy. The many waterfalls and nature reserves often also have natural swimming holes nestled among stunning rock formations. Sometimes it takes a bit of effort, but it's worth it. There are opportunities to abseil with a group in the Anna waterfalls, fully guided and with the appropriate equipment. In Enguera, you'll find the second-largest Tibetan bridge in Spain, part of a via ferrata called Fuente de Godalla. This can be booked in advance through GetYourGuide. There's plenty to do for the more energetic traveler. For those who prefer a more leisurely pace and enjoy urbex photography, for example... there are stunningly photogenic abandoned buildings, farms, and factories here, such as the abandoned L'Orxa paper mill. The famous TV village of Zarra is also just over an hour's drive from our finca. It's definitely worth a visit! Throughout the year, there are various festivals throughout the region, especially the Moors and Cristianos festivals with their spectacular costumes. In short, there's something for everyone to enjoy! Remember: there are only a few spots available on our property, you must be self-sufficient with your campervan/van, and no BBQs or open fire cooking are permitted during the dry season.
