Free parking for sightseeing in Ettelbruck, suitable for vehicles up to 6 m long (possibly 6.40 m). Monday to Friday, you can park for a maximum of two hours between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. – enough time for a visit to the city center and the General Patton Memorial, which is located just outside the city center. The promenade along the Alzette River (with numerous street art murals) and the pedestrian zone are just a few minutes away. On the way there, you pass a public restroom (open during the day). I don't know whether overnight stays without camping (to regain driving ability) are tolerated on weekdays between 6 p.m. and 8 a.m., or on weekends. There is also a paid parking lot on the way to the parking lot, but it was quite full (on a Tuesday morning).
