(270 66) Foloi - Eparchiaki Odos Koumanis-Agias Annas

Between the mountain village of Antroni and the town of Foloi, 180 m below, is the Antroni Gorge with the Pinios River, where the car park is located. Our trip was via Koumanis. The route could be traveled using Google Maps. However, it seemed like no one had driven here in a long time. It is a true tour for off-road lovers who master the capabilities of their vehicle and whose dimensions do not exceed 3 m high, 2 m wide and almost 6 m long. All-wheel drive, ground clearance and downshifting should be available. A descent assistant is sometimes useful, but not essential. The protruding branches sometimes extend a little further to the sides and reach into the path from above. The path has a lot of rock and sometimes a river crossing. In the end, the adventure of the trip is rewarded with absolute peace and solitude. Nobody else comes here. The aroma of oregano and the soft waving of pine trees make the experience perfect. Oh, a goatherd and his flock could “disturb” the peace for a short time. And from there, it's really only a few steps into Centauri Gorge. You will find a hiking route called "Antroni-Foloi - You have to cross four gorges", along which there is a parking space.
