There are nearly five peaceful, primitive sites near Franklin, Louisiana, managed by the Louisiana Fish and Wildlife Service. Room for RVs, vans. Campsites are on the right, just before the hill to the boat ramp. A free permit is required for all activities on WMA land and your form is a box with permit forms in the boat ramp parking lot. There are picnic tables at the sites and a running water spigot, but the water seemed a little murky so it might not be safe to drink. The site was really clean, be sure to lock up your stuff; bring your trash. There are restrooms and dumpsters near the boat ramp parking lot. Nearby activities include boating, fishing, wildlife viewing, biking, hunting, etc.
