Picnic area at the base of a hill that has a church, and another picnic area, at the top. Good track to get to it, but if there’s been a lot of rain beware the bridge over the river may be flooded according to the signs - if so, don’t try and cross! We spent a perfectly quiet night here all alone with no sound, no light pollution and no stray dogs/cats. There is a water point here, and many more by the church up the hill, but don’t know if they’re drinkable or not, so we didn’t take any - but they were all active on in early February. There’s also a large bin here so please use it rather than leaving stuff on the ground (fortunately it’s very clean here). We accessed in a 15t, 10m long expedition truck, so anything will get here and you don’t need ground clearance because the track is good. It is grass at the area to park, although you could stop before on some gravel track. If you go to the grass - obviously don’t if it’s very wet otherwise you’ll churn it up or risk getting stuck.
