My pitch and tent site is in beautiful Geringswalde in the district of Mittelsachsen. The major cities of Leipzig, Chemnitz and the state capital Dresden, as well as other places worth seeing such as Freiberg, Meißen and Zwickau, can be reached from here in around 45 minutes by car. Just a few hundred meters from the site, the "Menu 2000" is available for inexpensive breakfast and lunch. Right next door, the "Karpfenschänke" restaurant welcomes you with upscale home cooking and regional specialties. Please note the individual opening times! In the town of Geringswalde, about 15 minutes' walk from the site, there are shops and an outdoor pool in summer. Also worth seeing are the King Friedrich August Tower, the Auenwald forest and the Fröhne, which are ideal for hiking and cycling. In around 15 minutes by car or by bike, you can reach the Kriebstein Dam with its castle, open-air theater and harbor. Other destinations worth seeing are the towns of Colditz, Leisnig and Rochlitz with their beautiful palaces and castles, city centers, shopping and swimming opportunities. The unique porphyry landscape with the "Rochlitzer Berg" and the town of Döbeln with its giant boots can also be explored. For extended tours on two wheels, the Chemnitztal, Mulde and Elbe cycle paths are available in the area. The Karls Erlebnisdorf in Döbeln, which only opened in 2024, the Sonnenlandpark in Lichtenau, the Plohn leisure park and the Belantis near Leipzig offer fun for the whole family.
