Johnnie Fox's Pub

We heard from a friend that this place welcomes campervans so we decided to stay as we’d also heard great things about the food & Guinness there! We are so happy we discovered it!! We parked at the back with a beautiful view of the Sugar Loaf mountain & walked across to the pub it maybe takes 20 seconds. The staff were so friendly & again said we were welcome to stay overnight! They have beautiful outdoor dining spaces that are covered & every thing is spaced out & organised! The food didn’t disappoint we had their famous mussels & a Beef & Guinness Pie that was the best food we have had this trip! Honestly amazing!! And the Guinness yes… now we know why they are so famous!! If you like Guinness you have to come to Johnnie Fox’s!! It was a beautiful sunny evening so our waitress told us we should go to see the Giants Grave an ancient burial tomb we could walk to & gave us directions, honestly so beautiful to find this place hidden amongst the forest. The Place is close to both the Wicklow & Dublin Mountain Way. Today they recommended we also go to Fairy Castle & 360 views over Dublin City & all the way to the Wicklow Mountains. We will definitely come & stay again! We highly recommend this spot it was a great addition to our trip! Famed as the highest pub in Ireland and established in 1798. Live music 7 nights a week.
