First Camp Gol – Hallingdal

In the heart of Hallingdal’s trading hub, you’ll find First Camp Gol – Hallingdal, a destination known for its wide range of activities all year round. The river winding through the valley, surrounded by majestic mountains and breathtaking landscapes, offers unforgettable nature experiences for the whole family! Here, you can hike in the mountains, explore the surroundings by bike, or go fishing in the Hallingdal River. But that’s not all — the destination also features Hallingstampen Outdoor Pool, complete with a fun water slide that’s a big hit during the summer season! On June 21, 83 new spots for caravans, motorhomes, and tents opened in the lower part of the campsite. Fresh green lawns, easy access to fishing in the Hallingdal River, a playground, newly renovated service buildings, and a restaurant with outdoor seating make it the perfect summer getaway. In July, Hallingstampen Outdoor Pool officially opened, offering a lovely space for relaxation and a small café serving light meals and snacks. The outdoor pool is now closed for the 2025 season, but will reopen for the summer season of 2026. At the campsite, you can stay in cozy cabins or apartments, or set up your caravan, motorhome, or tent on a variety of pitches. Wherever you stay, you’re always close to nature — and several of the cabins feature beautiful wooden interiors for that true cabin feeling. Located right in the heart of Norway, Gol is the perfect starting point for all kinds of adventures. The town center is just a few minutes away, offering charming shops and restaurants.
