A Pay & Display mixed parking site which is owned by the Pier Hotel next door, and managed by Your Parking Space. It is now authorizing motorhomes and campervans to stay overnight, paying the same rates as cars. The pier is good for crabbing and the big sandy beach is in front of the hotel. Close by are wonderful seaside amenities, including a toilet block, yacht pond, promenade, takeaways, pubs, restaurants and cafes. Plus there is a theatre and a cinema (along with all kinds of shops in the High Street about a 15 minute walk. Views of the river mouth include ships and pilot boats coming and going, with sea views the other side of the pier. Beware of strong winds at times!
