Photography, fishing, Nene Way footpath, free access for kayaks and canoes into the mill ‘pond’ by kind permission of mill owners if you are responsibly minded. Very deep and dangerous swimming during flood release times (No Swimming signage), but shallow at edges for paddling. Busy spot always walkers, anglers, dogwalkers, kayakers, paddleboarders (ankle deep access), and a famous local photography spot because of the mill. Car park is busy during daytimes with all the above and a surprisingly busy road too, as it’s a rush hour rat run between villages. But empty at night. Big potholes thus puddles in layby. One lane narrow-ish bridge across the river. No artics or big lorries can cross it.
