This is a Byway Open To All Traffic (BOAT). Otherwise known as a green lane. Officially it is classed the same as a road and is public highway. Basically it's an old road that has never been surfaced with tarmac. Enter opposite end to the pub as the pub crossroads end is too bumpy. Loads of space and plenty wide enough to bother no-one. You'll get the odd tractor, walkers and bikes riding past. Quiet in the day. Very quiet at night.
