(220 07) Νέα Μονή Φιλοσόφου - Eparchiaki Odos Monon A. Ioannou Prodromou kai Filosofou

Parking of the monastery of Filosophou in the middle of the gorges. The monastery is sublime. Start hiking in the valley. But beware of the extremely narrow road from Stemenitsa with no possibility of crossing and with a lot of empty space ... Really impossible with a motorhome but only with narrow van and max 6 m long. Absolutely avoid the road (in very bad condition) which goes to the bottom of the gorge from the south of Steminitsa and take the road on the left going out to the north of Steminitsa and which crosses two small villages before plunging back on the monastery. The road is winding, narrow and full of holes, only for adventurers and with a small van! No service. Exceptional monastery also accessible from the other monastery further south.
