Spornes is just outside Raet national park. Situated on Tromøy it is a great camping destination with several accomodation sites nearby. Spornes "skytebane" is public property with no regulations on parking/campers. Tenting is only allowed on camping sites and east of Spornes beach (off grid tenting). No tenting on Spornes or Hove Public areas. Up to two nights of tenting allowed. Dogs must be kept on leash from April 1 until September 1. Owners of loose dogs will be fined if controlled - frequently visited by officials. Litter bags can be collected by the parking lot nearby if you want to help tidy our beaches and reduce marine plastic waste. Several graves from the bronze age and excellent viewpoint on top of the island scurries. Several Military instalaltison in the area and very high diversity of birds, plants and insects.
