Galdane: Very nice resting point with picnic-tables at the old street thru the valley. No other services. You have a nice view to the old farm and an waterfall across the river. The road is absolutly calm in the night because everyone use the new road. The only noise you get is from the waterfall! You have access to water when you aren't afraid to use the water from the river. It is very clear and good. The picture shows the parking place with view from the old farm over the river. We can also recommend the little walk/hike on the historic street "kongevegen" from 1793. You start from the next resting point if you follow the road east to Borgund for about 4 km. There is a bridge. You find all information there. It takes ca. 2 hours to go to the farm of Galdane and back. It is very interesting, with a lot of sign about the old ruins and the places the farmers used there. (Like an still existing waterfall as shower). You pass a very beautiful landscape with historic background. Very calm not very difficult. It is worthwhile! :-)
