Parking outside of the designated Responsible Camping area is prohibited. Please check the signs when you arrive This site is near Jellyman Park at the Cobden tiphead (Shipwreck point) which is accessed via Nelson Quay, Cobden. This site is for certified self contained vehicles only (you must have a self-containment warrant displayed, detail facing out, on your windscreen). You can stay a maximum of three nights (max 10 days in any calendar month). If you are non self-contained (i.e. do not have a current self-containment warrant certifying your vehicle as meeting NZS 5465), then you can only freedom camp on any Council land that is more than 200m away from a formed (sealed, gravelled or otherwise modified) road. Otherwise please stay at a serviced Holiday Park.
