Assan and Renata's Private Paradise

This place is a private compound on the banks of the river Gambia. Assan (Gambian) and Renata (Dutch, not there anymore) built this lovely place. The garden has beautiful flowers. If you want to visit, please call or whatsapp to confirm the arrival time. Assan shows his visitors around the town, too. So, to make sure he is at the campground, call/app a little bit in advance. It is at the very east end of Georgetown (Janjanbureh) and very quiet. There is a cool breeze from the river. Assan is still building up the place. So for now you have a bucket shower and a toilet with seat also to flush with a bucket. Everything is very clean and decent. You can come with 4x4, motorcycle, tent, big rig. All will fit nicely under or between the mango trees. They organize boat trips to Hippo Island for example. If you are lucky you will see or hear the hippos at your very doorstep! Also he can arrange your laundry in the village, or you can do it yourself in the river (do it like the locals do). Also you can easily wash your camper here.
