The "Ferdinands Homestay Active Hostel" is located directly on the edge of the forest in the Saxon Switzerland National Park, in the Elbe River meadows, at the end of a charming little paved road surrounded by nature, with a lovely swimming spot on the Elbe's banks. This spot is ideal for canoeists, cyclists, hikers, and nature lovers. From here, you can easily hike to the famous Bastei rock formation in Rathen, Königstein Fortress, or Lilienstein, as well as embark on various cycling tours along the Elbe. The Elbwiesen campsite is not suitable for motorhomes/caravans. However, there are a limited number of pitches available for vehicles the size of a VW Bus/Crafter. Our pitches do not have electrical hookups. In the main building, you will find tables, benches, washing-up areas, kettles, a shelter, and a toilet with showers and one or two electrical outlets. We also have a cold storage room for your drinks and food. Due to high demand and limited parking in this exceptional setting, advance reservations via the website or by phone are absolutely essential. P.S. We can't argue away the railway line in the Elbe Valley, but we are the only campsite on the opposite, sunny side of the river. This makes it significantly quieter here.
