Camping Des Abers, 4**** A superb campsite under family management for over 50 years, with numerous hedges and flowers, terraces, and pitches, some with breathtaking sea views. Constantly modernized. Warm welcome from Edith and Hubert LE CUFF and their team, who are extremely friendly, cosmopolitan, and speak French, German, English, etc. Performance: Price 5/5; Sanitary facilities 4.5/5; Pitch 5/5 (lawn); Distance to beach 5/5 (located directly behind the dune with access to the supervised beach in season); Distance to kite spot 5/5 (kite zone directly after the supervised beach in season, depending on the wind); Wi-Fi 4.5/5 (1 hour free, then paid and available throughout most of the site). Extras: In season, starting May 1st, a mini-market with fresh baguettes/croissants, and in high season, food trucks, etc., are available in the evenings right at the campsite entrance. Open stage on Sunday evenings, and sometimes concerts are held in a hall with live musicians, most of whom also come and camp on site. This doesn't disturb this peaceful setting; there is no noise pollution. The campsite is and remains very quiet, even after 10:30 p.m. (caretaker)! For your information: - NATURA 2000 zone, a protected area classified as a heritage site: no mechanical beach cleaning is possible in order to preserve the strandline, which will help restore the dune. But rest assured, regular manual cleaning is carried out! - Dogs must be kept on a leash (please remember to bring your bags!) in the dunes. They are prohibited on all beaches (prefectural decree for the Finistère region) from June 1st to September 30th - checks and fines will be issued! This is a decision beyond the control of the managers - please respect it to preserve the site and avoid any pollution that could lead to beach closures due to colibacteria! There are shellfish farmers and numerous oyster producers in the surrounding area, which adds to the charm, not just the culinary charm, of the region.
