The caravan site / mobile home site in Leipzig Südwest is a large, idyllic open space (partly paved meadow - sunny or shady) in the middle of beautiful nature on the edge of the forest on the former Elsterstausee not far from the Belantis amusement park and Lake Cospuden. It is right next to the Weisse Elster. The terminus of tram line 3, which takes you to the city center with its numerous cultural, shopping and event gastronomy offers, is within walking distance. Perfect starting point for exploring the southern area with hikes and bike tours or for swimming in the neighboring Cospudener See with its crystal-clear water. Water hikers start next door in the Elster or after 800 m walk (10 minutes on foot) in the Cospuderner See, over which you can take the boat to the city center. The Belantis amusement park is 2.2 km (30 minutes' walk). By bike it is 12 km to the city center on exclusively protected paths through forest and parks along the Elster. The place is open all year round and 24 hours a day. Shops (baker, butcher, supermarket) in the road access. Unfortunately, no charging station or disposal options were officially approved for us.
