The new parking lot at the Haukland Beach Visitor Center is paved but has a slight incline. Parking costs 20 minutes per day, but is permitted for a maximum of 14 hours. The visitor center isn't expected to open for a few days, but the parking lot is already open. The beach is gorgeous and can be enjoyed year-round. You can also walk around the northern headland to the next bay/fjord and enjoy an even better view of the southern mountains from the furthest point. The path is even suitable for wheelchairs and strollers. There are also beautiful hikes that are currently (April 2025) not possible because there is still too much snow at this time of year.
