Quiet car park next to a large playing field, flat even surfaces in great condition. Parking is a public site backed on to a bank and a drs surgery so CCTV for both buildings ensures it is a safe site. there is a very short walk to chip shops, mini markets, bank, bakers, café, information center and library. There is a river nearby and well used nature trails. The parish church has a grave site of historical significance and there are archeological sites to explore. There is a local Tesco and petrol station if you need to fill up or need supplies. A lovely wee place for an overnight, just off the M74, so an ideal stop off for those heading further north or south. Lesmahagow Highland Games is on the 3rd Sat in June every year, the full week running up to the event has different activities on in the park and can be very busy up till 20.45 and then on Sat of the games car park is closed from 9am.
