This is the other Layby mentioned. On A496 heading south from Llandebr to Barmouth. It's off the road with large 6m grassy separation bank to A496 so road noise is minimal, less than northbound Laybye further up the road. Busy road during day between Barmouth and Harlech but ok at night. Not overlooked by nearby cottages and well sheltered by hillside. Shell Island nature reserve and camping ground close by, take turning at Victoria Inn, also Harlech beach is even better. Layby will take 4 camper vans easily.
