Marchezais village, free parking at the town hall, very quiet, safe for the day. The train station is a 500m walk away, which goes directly to the Palace of Versailles or Paris Montparnasse without changing trains. You just sit down and arrive at your destination. Very, very convenient for visiting Paris during the day without having to change trains several times. All while enjoying the peace and quiet of the countryside in the evening. There are no shops in the village. This allowed us to stay for several days and visit BOTH PARIS AND VERSAILLES without paying parking fees.
