Troublesome Gap Camping and Overlanding

After picking up the property in the 1960s, the family that owns Troublesome Gap Camping and Overlanding camped, hiked, hunted and cut firewood many weekends on the mountaintop. Those good times led them to open up three acres of space for new folk. Those lucky guests have the whole three acres to themselves – and what a spot it is… In a remote area of Hot Springs in North Carolina, it just so happens that the nearest neighbour is around half a mile away. The space is 4000 feet above sea level, so it experiences cooler temperatures. It’s also easily accessible from the public Baltimore Branch Road (although steep in places, so no RVs bigger than a pop-up campervan will be able to reach it).
