My personal favorite place in Svaneti!
A real hidden gem.
Many places here are on both river banks, but this one in particular offers clear views of snow-capped mountain peaks in all directions, the river, a sea of flowers and is still not visible from the bridge.
No mosquitos, no trash, plenty of firewood, great hikes. Real magic. Treat it with love please.
And the nearby Hikers Inn just got a nice renovation with sauna, ice cold swimming lake, toilets, showers and good food. Highly recommended. Very nice people, very hospitable locals.
To get there, cross the Hikers Inn bridge and walk a bit downstream from there.
We made it there and back in rainy weather with a 2WD van. Just walk slowly and make sure you arrive in daylight.
