Day Parking lot to visit one of the Lycian Tombs in the Ancient City of Thera. Currently half the site is having extensive excavation but the two tombs (which are the most well preserved) are available to view right at the beginning. There are no signs that say visit is not prohibited. Lots of hiking from the area. The first two tombs are the best. Not much information on anything else and only big slabs of stone about so hard to picture what’s there. Possibly after excavation this site will be much more fun to explore. Parked under the tree shade on approach. Long dirt road to get there. STRICTLY no overnight parking, Gendarmerie will move you on. Only free parking during day to visit tomb. Area is remote, there’s nothing around or about. No amenities.
