(BA3 2EA) Midsomer Norton - 18 Fern Close

Enormous free car park in the centre of the town. The signs do not say anything about overnight camping but do say that the gates will be locked from 10pm to 6am but the locals they said this never happened and that was our experience. The entrance is quite narrow so probably not suitable for bigger campervans and the car park is on a slight slope but it's enormous so we had no problem finding a level spot. In the late evening there were a couple of 'boy-racer cars' and the boys were chatting to the girls but they were not noisy or loud in anyway and left no litter whatsoever, not even a cigarette butt! The car park even has a couple of portaloos, although we didn't explore them. The Weatherspoons pub across this road was great value and ideal for evening meal and especially breakfast from 8am. A very safe if sloping free car park which is great for a smaller van.
