A DREAM PLACE! Anyone traveling along the coast between Muscat and Salalah should definitely not miss the stretch of road west of Sharbtat. You can reach it either via a dirt track directly from the village itself or by branching off the main road further west. Both routes are beautiful and easily navigable. The last few kilometers to Miji Bay require a 4x4 vehicle with high ground clearance. There are many wonderful spots and a fairly clean beach. Fishermen, who are very friendly and gave us freshly caught fish, are out in the mornings and evenings. According to them, whales and dolphins can be spotted regularly.
