Umbukta Mountain Room The caravan site became part of Umbukta Fjellstue summer 2004. We want to be a hub for all caravan users, cabiners and other outdoor enthusiasts, and hope to see you soon. Umbukta Fjellstue is a traditional and old skies and customs station with lots of history in the walls. The original farm was cleared around 1830. In 1873 it was used as a mountain lodge for patrons from Sweden who had to go to Mo i Rana to trade goods. Between 1904 and 1939 there was a boat trip on Uman, between Umbukta and Umfors. The "new" lodge opened Easter 2001, with a cozy café and opportunity for overnight accommodation. Umbukta and the surrounding mountains are a widely used open-air area for people in Rana, and there are about 400 cabins around the area. We can offer a restaurant with all rights, accommodation and activities.
