Ample parking. Paid parking during the day, but free at night between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. I slept there one night mid-week, end of September, nice and quiet. Some large spaces next to the bus parking, our 7m long motorhome fits well. Parking payment at the machine or via SMS service. Large containers. I imagine it is a busy area on weekends and in the summer. Many hiking routes through the small hills of the Carpathians begin here. Highly recommended: well-marked trails and a free detailed 1:25,000 map available at the Modra tourist office. The Tourist Office staff even recommended us to spend the night here! Hotel Fochova is open for food and drink, it's expensive for the area, but the rest of the world was closed until the weekend because it was out of season when we were there. The cafe at the bottom of the stairs is open during the day for beer, coffee and snacks and is where many of the walking routes begin. I think there are bathrooms outside the cafeteria, but we didn't look for them. Free outdoor swimming spot near a cafe popular with locals, with an outdoor shower to rinse off and even a separate pool for dogs to swim in too.
