Important: once at the refuge (visible from the car park) the path goes to the left (when you are facing the mountain), then follow small piles of pebbles. The road is a decent track ... except through the northern exit of Karistos is very complicated for large camper vans ... and probably impossible for pull-ups (very very steep and long slope in a village).
